Step 1: Apply Online
Submit your CV and tell us about your experience, preferences, and roles you're interested in.
Step 2: Meet Your Consultant
We'll schedule an informal chat or interview to get to know you better and understand your goals.
Step 3: Compliance & Vetting
After your interview with Kind Education, our compliance team will begin the clearance process to get you ready for your first school placement. This process follows the latest Department for Education (DfE) and Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) guidelines to ensure the highest safeguarding standards.
Before being placed, we must have successfully completed and verified the following:
Right to Work
- Proof of photo ID and proof of current address A valid Enhanced DBS Certificate with Children’s Barred List check,
- Details and evidence provided if registered on the Update Service
- Professional references covering at least the last two years of employment or study
- A complete 5-year work history, accounting for any gaps
- If applicable, an Overseas Police Check or Certificate of Good Conduct
- Completion of a Childcare Disqualification Declaration (for primary settings)
Verification of medical fitness to work with children
Additional requirements for teaching staff include:
- Verification of professional qualifications via the Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA) Prohibition from teaching check (TRA sanctions list)
- Confirmation of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A Letter of Professional Standing if qualifications were obtained outside the UK
Step 4: Training & Induction
You’ll complete required training, including:
- Safeguarding and child protection
- Prevent Duty
- Online safety
- Behaviour management (where relevant)
Step 5: Profile & Preferences
We'll build your profile with your subject areas, age group preferences, and availability.
Step 6: Matching You with Schools
We connect you with schools that match your strengths and values—whether you’re looking for daily supply or long-term placements.
Step 7: Ongoing Support
From timesheets and queries to check-ins and career progression, we’re always here to support you on your journey.
